The latest news from Bob
I thought I should write a letter to all you folks out there who visit this website. First, as always, I want to thank you all for supporting what I'm doing here. I get some wonderful comments from time to time that are very encouraging. I also want to apologize for the rarity of updates to the site. Because of matters \"beyond my control\" it's been next to impossible for me to stay on top of all the content that has to be managed, not to mention the uncertain Net access that I am dealing with.
The main reason for that is the fact that I'm back on a ship. I signed on the Vision of the Seas (Royal Caribbean) in October. We're doing a 21-day Panama Canal circuit that hits only five ports, three of which have Net access. It makes answering E-mail bad enough, but keeping this site updated has been a near impossible feat. This won't last forever though. I'm applying for university positions and hope to land something in the fall. If anyone out there hears of anything, let me know.
I'm planning some interesting things for the future. Lessons will include RealAudio clips of me playing the examples rather that those crappy MIDI files. I am also thinking of doing a series of articles on Show Band guitar playing. This will include a section on position-oriented sight reading. So this site ain't quite dead yet.
I won't be home for Christmas this year, but I wish all of you Happy Holidays and hope your New Year is even better. Till next time.
UPDATE (Feb 2, 1999):
I'm back off the ship, thank God. I'll be teaching students at the Orlando Mars music store for now and maybe gigging at Disney. Plus, I'll be rooting through this site and getting it back in shape. Expect more updates, lessons and links, etc. Thanks for your patience. Baby, I'm BACK...
