This is the concert that almost didn't happen. For the past several years, Bob and Cindy Benedetto have held a Benedetto Players concert on the Saturday evening during the weekend of the Classic American Guitar Show in Long Island, NY. While trying to schedule a concert this year, they couldn't find available space and gave up hope for a concert this year. With the help of some friends they located a restaurant near the Huntington Hilton that was willing to cooperate and the concert - then dubbed Café Benedetto - was back on. Unfortunate for many, space was limited to 75 and the concert was sold out within a day.

After a wonderful four-course dinner, the Benedetto players were back. Howard Alden, Gerry Beaudoin, Jimmy Bruno, Adrian Ingram, Andy MacKenzie, Frank Vignola, and Jack Wilkins. The evening opened in its traditional manner with all of the guitarists playing together and was followed by duos and trios of the Benedetto players. For those of you that weren't able to attend, here are a few pictures from the '99 Cafe Benedetto.
